The challenge:

Business was developing well for CREATE-IKOHS across Europe. Their DTC model selling from their own online platform and managing the logistics from their Madrid HQ was generating year-on-year growth.

Then, post Brexit the customs clearance process created by Brexit made direct consumer shipments to the UK uneconomic.

IKOHS needed a different solution so they engaged EMEA Associated Partners to solve the puzzle.

The challenge within the challenge:

The factories supplying IKOHS are diverse. Our solution needs to create UK stock that is economically saleable, whilst not placing valuable stock beyond the reach of EU end-consumers.

Our working method:

The pandemic prevented us from visiting the Head Quarter in person, so we familiarised ourselves with the personnel, brand and products via numerous zoom meetings..

We then started the process to talk to systematically contact trusted distribution contacts within this specialised market place.

These discussions highlighted a number of unforeseen challenges.

In response to these challenges we have revisit the initial brief and proposed an innovative, multi-layered solution to IKOHS.


The client:

With a creative style and colour palate directly from the world of fashion, CREATE - IKOHS appeals to design conscious consumers who expect superb functionality as standard, but also want appliances that reflect their personalities and lifestyle.

Head Quartered in Madrid, Spain, IKOHS is very much an emerging brand in the highly competitive small appliance market.

The solution:

In this instance we were not able to create a solution that met the client's needs.

EMEA Associated Partners were mandated by IKOHS to assist in the development of multiple export markets for their CREATE brand of household appliances.
